For Renters: RentQuebecApartments.com

For this you will need the following:

  1. Tape
  2. Plastic Bags
  3. Original boxes and Styrofoam or large new boxes and Styrofoam peanuts

How to Pack:

  1. Pack all discs in a separate box (Make sure nothing magnetic is in the box).
  2. Bundle all cables together and color code them with matching holes.
  3. Place each component (Monitor, CPU, and Printer) in separate plastic bags to keep out dirt during the move.
  4. Place each bag inside their Styrofoam and then in their original boxes.
  5. Fit cables and other accessories in the sides of each box.
  6. Place boxes upright and seal with tape.

If you do not have the original box, you will need to purchase or locate some boxes and Styrofoam peanuts you can use.  Place each component (Monitor, CPU, and Printer) in separate plastic bags to keep out dirt during the move. Fill part of the bottom of a box with Styrofoam peanuts and place one component in that box.  Place Styrofoam peanuts around the component so that the component does not touch the side of the box.  Then place the cables for that component in the box.  After doing this close and seal the box.  Label the box fragile and mark which component is in the box.  Repeat this step for each component.

When you pack your printer make sure to remove the ink cartridges.  If your printer uses pins to form-feed paper, leave the paper in during the move to keep the pins in place.
